Got the carbs mostly apart on my 700x, and #1 and #3 carbs have mangled screws holding the float valve bodies (I think) in, and i can't get them out thanks to PO. The screws holding the little fork dohickies holding the sleves or bodies or whatever they are (things with little screens on the end) Easy out? Blow em out with carb cleaner and wait until winter? Im open to ideas....

    Thanks in advance.

    Erm, I'm confused...

(Fires up the Mikuni cleaning file)

Oh, the valve seats. Right. Gotcha. Those are unlikely to get clogged, methinks, so leaving them alone probably wouldn't hurt. On the other hand, replacement screws are readily available from Chacal, so the easy out is also an option.

Thanks. I got two of them out and blasted the other two as best i can, as well as blasting out the passage between each one. They look clean with a light, so i will wait to remove them. A couple of the carb hat screw are f'd as well, but two clunked without any work. The PO did do maintenance, cuz he liked the power n speed. But it sat for a year plus so im touching up...

...except when they strip out. If not the bolts, then the wrenches...
