Any 7/8ths diameter bars will fit. If there's a big difference in height or pullback, you may have to change cables. Don't know if the 95 XJ600 bars attach to the triple trees with a thru-bolt or just sit in the molded clamps.

Im kinda worried about the handlebar situation on my 750 also. I don't like that they're two seperate peices. am I gonna be able to put any bars with risers in there or have to buy a new triple tree or modify it or what?

Not necessarily. If the bike in question came with the multi-part adjustable cast bars, it will require swapping out the upper triple tree to one with the traditional tubular bar mounts.

It will definitely require swapping the upper tree, However, it is an easy swap, just take your upper off and put the other upper on. Just get a tree for an 83 XJ750. Yamaha went back to tube bars in 83. Make sure when you do, you get the bar clamps with it. I got the whole upper and lower tree for mine off ebay for like 40 bucks shipped.

Couple of things...if you are keeping the atari and round headlight, no issues. If you are swapping the atari for the round gauges, then you will not be able to use the ignition key decorative cover with 750 stamped on it that came on the 82. For me, this was no biggie as it was worn, loose, and had a noticeable rattle when the bike was running. Plus I like the cleaner look without the cover. Also, the lower tree on the 82 has machined mounting holes for an oil cooler bracket that the 83 lower did not. So being that the dimensions were the same bearing wise, I am using the 82 lower with the 83 upper.
