Just discovered a broken fuse holder for the main fuse on my 1982 xj650. Is a new oem one still available or do I need to get an after market one? If after market what do I use and where can I get one in Calgary AB? Thanks Henry

One of the best things you can ever do for your bike is to get rid of the glass type fuseholder & upgrade to a blade type fuseholder. Its not very expensive & really easy to do. You can order one right here from our parts man, Chacal at XJ4ever at the top of the page.

You want to get an aftermarket replacement, not OEM. However, you need to clarify: do you mean the box that holds a bunch of fuses or a single piece holding one 30 amp fuse? If the former, then order the aftermarket replacement from Chacal and convert to the blade type fuses. The OEM fuse box is a POS. If you mean the single, 30 amp fuse holder consisting of 2 red wires going to a little black "box", then you should be able to replace that at your auto parts store with one that uses blade fuses.

My electrical post in my signature shows the parts Chacal sells and my OCD need to make the wire extensions look similar the original harness :)
