I am going to chop my 82 maxim 650 a little bit in the rear but the old lady wants to still ride it sometimes. Has anyone found a double seat with a small butt pad?

Or should I buy a single seat and just attach a small butt pad to my rear fender?

If you chop it wll there be room, or structural support for "small butt pad".

those butt buddy things are awesome! I wouldnt mind buying one if i could find a used one.

Your right i should be able to find a small butt pad on my rear fender...now i just have to find the fender.

Are you sure that the small butt pad will be acceptable (hint - you do not get to vote)? You could go with a solo seat and a removable second solo seat that mounts to the rear part of the frame. Used to be fairly common a long time ago in Europe (like old BMWs). Much better support/comfort but removable when you don't want it.
