Use a piece of 1x2 lumber (furring strip) or hammer handle to pop it into the intake boots. Ya need to work each side and make sure the throttle, choke, and clutch cable are out of the way. Boots to the airbox ar all the way back, right?

Warm the boots with a hot air gun, lube the openings with vaseline, or KY like polock said......push the carbs right in.

You could use the KY with the warming effect so you don't have to heat the boots. Hope its good for you!

I use silicon grease, and sometimes a ratchet strap if I'm having a real tough time... A large flat blade screwdriver with tape on it makes a decent prying tool.

My favorit tool, when I need to use one at this point, is an old Craftsman brake tool......looks like a scratch awl but has a right angled tip about a 3/4 inch long. Easy to catch the inside lip of the boot if it curls a bit.

Silicone grease, and cabinet clamps with a short piece of 2x4.
