I dunno, i only paid 1000 for mine and all I did cosmetically to it is wash it, wax the tank, and clean up the side covers, and it only has 14k on the clock.

And plus the exhaust on the one in the ad is deff not original...

Nice score on the fairings though!

A few non-stock items (ie mufflers and signals) and a few things missing (ie the ignition slot/triple tree cover), but it LOOKs very nice :)

I think I'm gonna take that tank's stripping design and added a version of it to my repainted tank. :)

I also like the black front fender (I've been wanting to do that along with black lower forks). So its nice to see to see the black fender.

Its also less than I paid for mine. :(

I had noticed the exhaust pipes and front turn signals, but aren't the rear ones original? Looking at it I thought it was a Midnight version which explained the black front fender (don't say that too fast ...)

I thought it looked gorgeous and wished I could get it myself. Someone around columbus is selling one with the stock fairing and cases. Looked to be in very good condition as well, think he was asking $2K obo ...

I don't 'think' it's the midnight model as the engine is not blacked out.

However, the side covers looks if they are off a midnight model...

    Hmm...

They didn't make the midnight version fo the XJ750 until 83 but it does look like they used midnight side covers on it.

I wonder if they did it for looks or to hide something?
