I changed the oil filter on my yamaha 700 maxim and at first it did not leak and now it has a small leak from the cover. How can I stop this leak?

Did you torque the cover to the recommended specs?

okay there you go. I really appreciate the help. I want to learn to work on my motorcycle myself since I have always liked learning to fix my own things

Get a manual....first thing, and read it.

It will walk you through each step of just about any project you take on.

I got mine on ebay for $28 shipped, it was brand new, in plastic. You can probably find them for cheaper, too, I didn't look long.
