I recently bought a 81 seca 750. i want to do a bobber but keep a soft tail (the wife wants to ride too). i was just wondering if there is any way to do a wider tire and keep the shaft drive? i would like to run a 180 or 200. thanks for a suggestions.

    Welcome to the site !!

I have the same bike, a 130 fits, then you rub the driveshaft housing.

To go further requires offsetting the rim, creating spacers, notching and custom-welding the swing-arm, and that all gets you way up to a 150 or so.

I put a 140 on my XJ 650 by shimming the wheel over about 1/8 inch or . Did by shimming the spline inside the at the wheel then shimmed the inside where the axle is on the left side. I have ran my first tire without any odd wear on tire. On second tire wearing just fine. Put about 20000 miles with this combo so far.
