I've got a 1982 and found a 1983 650 Maxim motor, tank, frame, swingarm and shocks for sale for fairly cheap.

Does anyone know if at least the motor and gas tank are the same or close enough for most small parts?

If the years are correct (they both have YICS motors) the bikes should be virtually identical.

Awesome, thanks. It's about an hour and a half away and they are asking $375 for the engine, carbs, starter, frame, gas tank and swing arms.

I might take the parts I need and then sell the rest... or keep them as spares! Because I'm just selfish like that!!!
