can i put a 650 into a 750 bike? both YICS maxims

Hey all

I'm pretty sure i can do this fairly straightforward, but will a 650 YICS maxim engine fit into a 750 YICS maxim and bolt/connect right up?

I've acquired a pretty much MINT 83 750 with 5000 miles on it since i needed exhaust/seat/couple little things for a 650 project...... the PO decided not to refill the crankcase with oil when he did an oilchange...now there's the ol' death rattle/knock in the bottom end of the 750


I'm thinking it would just be easier to put the 650 motor in the 750 rather than rebuild the entire 650 (which is in boxes) and pull the parts i need off the 750.....

There's an issue with the shifter and you'll want to run the 650's carbs.

 

would use the carbs for sure.........shifter hits the pegs or frame?

thanks for the link.........just not sure what i need to do to do the 650 to the 750 swap since the swap outlined is reverse.......?
