    Selling a tank from a 1983 Maxim 650. The tank was repainted at one time, it has a small hole on the left rear corner that was repaired with liquid metal (see pic). As you can see by the pics there is some light surface rust on the inside. Asking $60.00 + shipping or make me an offer. It weighs 11# in the box.

    Is the tank still availble? If so can you tell me if it will fit on an 82 650 maxim?right now on my wife's bike,the tank is missing the flat end peice,that bolts the tank to the bike.

    The tank is available, I can't say for sure if it would fit an 82 Maxim. Maybe someone else can chime in on this? Despite the patch it currently holds fuel without leaking.

    was the leak from rust or a puncture? I'm looking for a tank but don't want to get in over my head as my tank repair knowledge is limited...
