be careful what you put on them, anything with silicone will mess up a paint job unless it's cleaned off really good and additives put in the paint

I'm kind of a "more is less" kind of guy so I don't think I'll be putting any badges on the bags. I'll polish them out so they shine like the rest of the bike, then stuff them with junk and ride! Still thinking about painting the top of the top box but it's textured so I don't think it'll turn out so great.
    Decisions Decisions!

Looks real goo now. well done.
Yes the top will ook a little different because of the texture....but will look part of the bike. Th eonly way out of iy it to primer fill it with a couple of coats , sand back and prime again before painting...takes a little time but worth it.

I have the Yamaha full fairing/hard bags on mine.Definitely a head-turner.You'll enjoy the reaction from passers-bye.
Also so much easier for bringing home growlers from the brewery. Hated riding with glass jugs in my backpack. Throw a couple cheap towels in there and you're set. The red/black combo looks cool.

The bike is the original red, the bags I coated with a Ford Barcelona Red Metallic. 5 coats of color, 5 coats of clear. I'm going to let it set up a couple more days and buff and wax it. I think it will smooth out and become as glossy as the rest of the bike.

My son and I took a nice ride today. Brought home my wife's mother's day flowers and gifts in the bags. I also bought a new helmet so I just threw the old one in the trunk. Luggage is awesome! The only down side is that my 13 year old son has size 12 shoes so his feet stuck out quite a ways from the rear pegs. We dealt with it but if I rode regularly with a passenger I might move the bags back a little so a large foot could get full range of motion on the rear pegs. So far so good!
