    Hey guys,
Its been awhile since I sold the XJ. I know you guys are aware of gear and how important it is.

I want to share a video of my friends and I riding experience this weekend.

Casey (the guy that crashed) may be very very lucky to escape with almost not injury but, HE WAS WEARING GEAR.

Lets be safe out there and have fun.

    Any comments are welcome.

His bike is a ZX14 ninja. Not really a cornering bike IMO.

THAT is what happens when you brake into a sharp corner..

Glad he's ok, but that right angle, slow down sign should have been respected a little more I guess.

I can see the jacket/helmet, but what kind of pants/footwear was he wearing? I just got a pair of draggin jeans (kevlar in knees & seat) but I'm hoping not to put them to that kind of test!

pbjman do you like them? I learned the hard way (stitches on my knee) Just how quickly jeans fall apart.

I'm sincerely glad to hear he is ok.

"Maybe to much front bake"? This is a prime example of why safety courses teach NOT to brake in any corner.

That could have gone worse in so many ways. He certainly is lucky!

Glad he's o.k.....kevlar pads make a lot of sense with a slide like that. Good that there was no kerbing/railing/trees etc....The sign looks like 90 deg. right @ 15 mph.......

I do like them. I'll probably be looking to get a second pair. They are comfortable and feel like regular jeans when you wear them. The kevlar inside is fabric, not pads or hard armor. Excellent abrasion resistance, not so much for impact. I think the current models have extended kevlar on the sides of the legs whereas mine only have it in the butt and front/knee areas. They pop up on ebay enough that if you keep checking you can likely score a pair in your size for about 1/2 the price of new. Just make sure you know your actual waist/inseam measurements and the ACTUAL waist/inseam measurements of the pants you are buying. Ask the seller to provide actual measurements, not just the size on the tag!

The shopping list for he damage amounts to about $600.

Front and rear sets, exhaust, lower fairings and front fairings.

Casey was not wearing boots or kevlar pants.

His right peg grabbed road and released pressure from front and rear wheel.

( moving too fast on one of the biggest sport bikes )
