ok so heres a picture of of the broken engine cover. I found one on ebay and i will be ordering it soon.

Also take a look at the funky looking headlight cover/windsheild. it looks sort of like the xj900's or the turbos. This is all broken and cracked, what should i replace it with?

I'm pretty sure that's the Yamaha factory fairing, but it's not the Turbo or 900 fairing. You might want to talk to War Eagle Racing in Florida. They may make a screen for this fairing.

    Available Yamaha Windscreens

I am NOT sure if the screen listed is for this fairing. You must talk to the people there to see if this XJ750 Seca screen is for your fairing.

Pretty bike Ziggy. You might want to invest in some three point case saver cages to prevent the cover breakage you have. They are still available and don't cost too terribly much. I buy them for all my machines, saves money in a drop. Good luck on the fairing, I like it! Cheers.

Ditto Robert on the case savers. I low sided my seca on some tranny fluid in a shaded sweeper at 45mph and bike slid about 100 ft. only damage was minimal scaping to case saver and rear turn signal needed replacing. I've had them on all my bikes for the past 25 yrs.

Where do you get the 3 point bars?
I have 2-point bars on my seca, and they bend pretty easy.

That, as they say, is the rub. No one I'm aware of makes them any more. JC Whitney used to carry them but I recall they only sell the two point units now. Hit fleabay or craigslist or post a Wanted post in the For Sale/Wanted forum.

The windscreen will be easy to find a replacement for.

    EagleScreens.Co.au

    The fairing:
STOP the crack from spreading by Drilling a small hole through the plastic ... right at the VERY END of where the crack has spread too ... so far. That will HALT the spread of the crack any further.

Plastic Weld will do the trick when you are ready to fix it ... and refinish it.
    Until then ...
Drill that hole at the end of the crack ... then:
Tape the crack together as good as you possibly can with the tape on the outside.
Rough-up the inside for a surface that an adhesive will grab too.
Apply a coat of 2-Ton / 5-Minute Epoxy over the crack.
Coat a tongue depressor with the same stuff.
Lay the tongue depressor along the length for "Support" (trim as necessary)
Final coat over the whole patch.
    Drill the hole.
The hole keeps it from spreading.
Pull off the tape when everything's cured solid!
