    Hi,

I took my throttle cable off a long time ago, and recently when I tried to re-install it, it doesn't look/feel right.

I know I'm not hooking it up right on the carb side. Does anyone have pictures or diagrams how it's supposed to look?

The owner’s manual goes in great detail on how to rebuild the barbs, and nothing at all as far as installing them.

Hi Samson I don't have pics, but it's easy, the cable hooks up in the hook placed about the middle of the carbs, to lock the cable on the hook you have a system wich is a housing where the cable goes throu and the screw to hold it in place inside the housing. This system goes in hook with the screw face towards the first cilinder or you left (if you're sitting on the bike). First put the housing in the round hole of the hook and then slide the cable throu it (is not easy!!) once you did it tight the screw to hold the cable. If you pull to much the cable the butterflies will be open and when you fire up the bike the revs will blow your roof, so make sure your cable is somehow loose. If you have a lot of free play adjust (pull) the cable a little more throu the housing or adjust it from the throttle.
I hope you can imagine all these 'cause I don't know to get any clear and once I read it is confusing...

I'll try it in a few minutes.
What confused me is that there are multiple pivots on the throttle clamp.
When I clamped it on the first time, you have to twist the throttle half way before the pivots even extent and start opening the butterfly... at that point, it's less than a quarter twist between closed and WOT... obviously not right :p
I'll print out your instructions, and will try to redo it.

I know what yogu're saying... ok from that clamp follow the arm to the top. On the top you will find the last pivot and the place to insert your housing with the screw facing your first cil. Your carbs. should be loose when you try to do this so you can work better, loose I mean not connected with the cil. boots or the boot to the air box

    fixed it, thanks :D

It was actually the carburetor clamp that was giving me all the trouble. I put it on crooked, so it was binding every time I was twisting the throttle, making it seem like the throttle was wide open. Once I repositioned the clamp, everything worked properly.
