Have an interesting situation. Swapped out old turn signals on my 82' Maxim 650 for aftermarkets that unfortunately only draw 10 watts per bulb. Had an issue, even with a load equalizer, that the bulbs wouldn't flash. After some digging, we replaced the fuse block with a blade style block and installed an electronic flasher. They worked great! For three days. Now they won't even light. The fuses aren't blown and power is flowing through the fuse block on all 4 spots. What do you think could make this problem? Is it possible the flasher is bad? You wouldn't happen to know what the electronic flasher part number from Autozone is would you? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hate riding only using hand signals.

But if the flasher dies, will the lights just stay lit or not flash at all?

If its the round electronic flasher the part number should be EL12 if im not mistaken and also yes to the light staying on.....well on my old S10 that was the case, but they might not come on at all if the flasher was bad, if you have a multi meter go through and check your power at all the locations and even better if you have a power probe you can put power to your lights and make sure they work. Hope you figure it out!

Throw in your old non electronic flasher unit. If they come on and stay on, its the flasher unit at fault.

connect signal directly to battery to see if they died... (or bulbs)

Here's what I did for $hit$ and giggles. I opened the headlight bucket. Turned the key on. Turned the switch for the turn signal. Jiggled the wires in the headlight bucket and BLAMO! We've got blinkers! Turns out one of the wires passing through the hole going into the headlight bucket wore away it's plastic insulation and was shorting/grounding (whatever) against the headlight bucket. Found the wire and insulated it and off I go! Woohoo!

    :D
