two 1982 XJ 650 for sale

back this past spring i bought two xj 650s with full intent on putting together a nice cafe or something along those lines but as fate would have it i need to sell them both due to impending back surgery.

i have had both bikes running but not what i would call perfect. they both need a bit of attention but there is a lot to work with.

i would prefer to sell them together as a package but if worse comes to worse i will sell them seperately. i am asking $900 for the pair.

one bike has a title the other does not.

issues:
titled bike... a bolt broken off in the head on the 1 cylinder where carb boot bolts up.
whoever owned it before me laid it down on the right side...no real damage other than the blinkers are busted on that side.
the starter needs rebuilt.
carb needs a needle jet (i raped it for the other bike)

other bike:
gas tank is well dented but holds fuel
seat is in need of reupholstering but the pan and foam are in good shape.

Wow, I got straight up robbed for my 1 barely running bike if you're selling the pair in that condition. for parts alone I'd buy them both at $450... I'm in Raleigh, NC. Alas, I have not the time or trailer to get them...

I'll check later this summer and see what I can do though. I'd honestly love to be able to deal with you for some parts or something.

 

what parts do you need?

 

I need a master cylinder, would you sell that and price?

 

I need basically the entire exhaust, but most importantly 2 mufflers at least in fair shape.

Left and Right front turn signals

Accurate Tach

probably more, but for now... that's what I really NEED... lol

Gas Tank

as for parts from the part bike all i have left out of the above is tach and signals. although i do have a tank and an exhaust (but exhaust is a 4 into 1)

i want to keep the titled bike as whole as possible.
but if no one wants these bikes in their current condition i will continue to part out.....and possibly start parting the titled bike.
