So I am installing the new headlight and I've blown 4 fuses now. The blinkers work fine when they are not screwed into the headlight housing. As soon as they touch the bucket, and are on, it blows the fuse.

Why is this? Doesn't seem right to me. Can I just swap the wires or maybe I have them backwards?

Aftermarket blinkers and headlight. Blinkers have worked fine prior.

2 wire or 3 wire signals? Dual filament or single filament bulbs? Or LED?

Separate ground wire? Or grounded thru the mounting bolt?

Live wire somewhere in the bucket that is hitting signal wires?

WHICH fuse are you blowing? Headlight? Main fuse? Other?

    All good questions
2 wire- single filament bulbs 23w with an electronic relay

They do have a separate ground wire

I don't believe there is a live wire hitting anywhere on the bucket, I moved it all around multiple times

I'm blowing the signals fuse - I'm now out of 10w blade fuses so I'll have to wait til tomorrow

Fuse popping when activating turn signal or as soon as you install them and turn on the key?

You might have installed the ELECTRONIC relay in properly. IE 12V to ground or vice versa. Try flipping the relay around on the plug once you get more fuses and check for loose/exposed wires in the bucket and if you NICKED the signal's wires while installing them (ie grounding live wire of blinker to bucket).

I'm thinking you have the wires backwards or a connection is touching the bucket in the birds nest.

They are inexpensive chinese blinkers so the solid black might be power, the more I think about the more I think they are just backwards.

It pops when I activate the turn signal.

Either of you know which wire should run to the middle "point" in the socket? The solid black wire runs to that and the black w/white runs to the housing of the bulb/spring. This seems backwards. I'll check tomorrow
    Thanks guys
