I have been in the process of getting my bike running for a couple weeks now and I have got it to the point where it runs great and the throttle response is great but it wont idle and when I adjust the idle mixture screw it will idle but it is to rich. Whats the deal with the 2 in 1 adjuster when it does separate things!

Sounds like the idle circuit is plugged/stopped up/dirty in the carbs....Did you take them off and clean throughly? Did you remove the idle mixture screws, cleam and replace the o-rings? Did you clean the enrichment circuit?

no i didnt cleam the idle mixture screws or any of the other stuff, problem is I cant find it. all the carb diagrams are contradicting with the advice i have been seeing on here. The diagrams say its on the bottom but i have also seen people say its right behind the choke. I didnt want to just start drilling holes.

The caps are right behind the carb plungers on top.

what is the best way to remove the brass cap for above the idle mixture screw? the kit I bought came with a wood screw and a drill bit but once i drill a hole in the cap does the cap get replaced or what??

Be very, very careful when you drill the hole in the caps. The idle mixture screw below them is very soft brass and is RIGHT below the caps. You only want to barely break through with the drill bit. Then run the screw in to the whole. Take a pair of vice grips or other tool of you choice to grasp the screw and pry out the plugs. I personally use a really small claw hammer and a narrow block of wood to protect the carb body. The hammer provides more leverage. When you have done all of the fine tuning on the mixture screws, you can get rubber plugs from Chacal or match some of the appropriate size from a local autoparts store. I would not put brass ones back in because you will have to go through the same exercise to remove them when tuning is required again.
