82 XJ650 Seca with mods...need some help

Hi All. I recently picked up a new to me 82 Seca 650. Not my first XJ, I had a Seca 750 years ago, but I bought this for an around town bike.

Here's the issue. The prior owner(s) definitely made some modifications. It looks like a K&N jet and filter kit, and they put an aftermarket GINORMOUS electronic ignition module where the airbox used to be. With that said, I now have a loose breather tube, which I presume used to route back into the airbox. Well, when the bike gets hot, it does smoke a pretty good amount. What can do I do with this so the smoke isn't so obnoxious?
