want sotck gauges out

    ok you guys i want to replace my stock gauges for aftermarket
    was wondering how hard is it on a 1981 750 seca ?
    and whats the best bang for your buck ?

    depends what you're going for man. it's not hard, but you might want to just re-wire it if you cut down on lots of accessories. i have the same bike and all i put on was a speedo, but i also ditched the rectangle headlight, cut the bracket off, and just cleaned up the front end. there's lots of signals going to your gauge cluster, and only the speedo is mechanical. If you still want to use the warning lights, fuel level, yada yada, maybe go with another set of similar xj gauges? i've seen some post around on doing that

    was it as easy as you thought it would be or required a bit of out of the box thinking?
