engine change

    anyone know what other engines go straight into my xj750 seca UK frame and mate up to engine mounts ...must still be shaft drive

    The 900 engine - if you can find one, but it needs the carbs and ignition system - - would be a great upgrade.

    The 750 Maxim, however, there's a minor problem with the shift linkage.

    The 650 Seca - carbs need a re-jet

    The 650 Maxim - re-jet, and I think the shifter position isn't ideal.

    The 650 TURBO - If you have to ask . . . you don't want to know. :wink:

    More info in "Information Overload" by Chacal, as there was an oil switch and motor mount incompatibility on some swaps.

    Thanks for info.....engine.not needed at the moment, just thinking ahead if ever I need a new engine,,......not to many 750 seca on ebay in the UK, but I do keep looking
