Hitachi carb hat position

    Probably a silly question, but does it matter which way the Hitachi carb hats are mounted--flat slanted facing forward or backward? I can't see any difference except for looks. What am I missing?

    It's questions like this that make me wish I had an attached garage.
    Anyway, I was curious enough to go look, mine are with the slant facing to the back.

    Functionally it doesn't make a difference. Aesthetically, they "look" better facing the rear, and that is how they came from the factory.

    Thanks. I've seen them both ways, but I think I'll go with facing the rear. Told you it was a stupid (or silly) question.
