What is the most common size helmet for women? I'm going to buy a spare helmet, and the reality is that most of my passengers will be women. :)

I'm planning on buying a Bell Revolver Evo. I was thinking a medium, but maybe small is a better choice?

    Thanks for the input folks!

I think you're right in going with a medium I have a huge head lol and wear an xl but my girlfriend is tiny and the small hurts her face. IMHO the small would work great for a kid only really. Medium is a safe bet.

I would agree, medium should work. Its great you're thinking of the safety of your passengers--or are you just thinking about your own self by adding a nice set of airbags behind you?

Ok... Ok... I guess I deserved that. But it's true, and figured women tend to have, perhaps smaller noggins than men. I was worried too because one of the used ones I saw on Ebay said that helmet ran large, so that's what made me worry too.

Thanks for those who took the time to respond to the post!

In many of the HJC helmets they only make three different shells. The various sizes in between are accomplished by changing the snap in padding.

We ended up going through several iterations on my wife's CL-15. I think she started at XS and ended up at medium, all on the same shell.

You might consider something like that where you can "fit" it to your passenger of the moment.

X2 on a medium - I used to have a large that i would let my passengers(always female) wear but it was always too big. So then i bucked up and bought a medium. fits the majority of them with a few exceptions where its too big, but its better than the large by far and usually works out. When I get a steady, I'll find one that fits her perfectly though.

    xj's get the bitchezzz!
