First off there is no site like this for Suzuki owners so I thought I would share my project bike for some feedback. I set out with literally a grinder, drill and some handtools in a tiny shed at my cousins house. I had no issues with the bike when I bought it, i.e. mechanically/electrically/phisically it was as sound as possible for an 82. I had a small oil leak around the oil filter cover, which turned out to only be the o-ring was pinched behind the cover. The speedo worked when I bought it but has since crapped out. All light/signals worked properly before the build, just wanted to make a project out of it.

The first set of pics loaded in reverse.....go to the end of the 1st set and work your way up, then go back and look normally from the fender mock up downwards.

Haha thanks! It's not quite 100% where I want it but it'll be something I tinker with over the winter and clean up the wiring and a few odds and ends.

Well, this bike was officially layed down Sunday by my cousin. Bars bend and the controls slammed into the tank, mirror glass broke, left grip and clutch lever are ground down pretty bad. Worst part was the alternator cover was ground down so bad that it leaked all the oil out of the pan. Had to trailer it back home for the first time ever. His left elbow has some serious road rash but other than that he was ok. Won't be riding for a while since my wife is about 2 weeks away from having our baby. I'll post some pics of the damage soon : (

    Sorry to hear this.
Atleast your cousin is still with us instead of the bike. Now you can hold it against him ;} Cant blame the bike for killing him, but you can blame him for killing the bike.
You plan on fixing it in the future?
    Congrats on the baby.

First off thank you! I hear ya about his situatjon....first thing I said was "f*** the bike I don't care about that, are you ok?" Luckily we were going pretty slow when it happened, they had just re-rocked the road and we were going around a corner, I had stopped because it was so bad but he had already hit the worst part of it and the rear brake locked up when he was slowing down and slid out from underneath him. He actually dropped it the right way because otherwise it may have threw him up and over if he didn't just drop it sideways. Anyways, yes I will be fixing it up. It only did minor damage really, other than the tank it's just a few replacement parts. I'm going to sand the tank down, fill in the dent and repaint it over the winter (most likely).
