Trip Odometer.

    Some time ago, couple weeks ago, my trip odometer stopped functioning.

    I used to use it for gas; then, one day, it was int he 600mi range. I can never quite catch it doing the offending movements, but it seems all the numbers move, and not in synch, just sporadically.

    Any idea on what went wrong? How hard is the surgery required to fix?

    It may be as simple as splitting the case and shooting a bit of compressed air around in there, I would always try the simple things first. Then your not out any money!

    I recently had my Atari apart pimping the gauge lights with leds and also had a sticky trip odometer that would hang up once in a while.

    The inside was full of cobwebs , insect carcasses and spider egg sacs.
    A few delicate blasts with an air gun and everything was back to normal.
