    hey guys i recently bought my first bike a 85 xj700 it sit for two years so i put a battary and fresh gas in it and the needle seats was bad i fixed that problem so i had it running good but not the best but then i notice blowing back threw the carbs its was from the carbs over flowing and over filled the crank case so i changed the oil and filter and its running bad so i pulled the plugs and that helped a lot but its realy hesnt and poping threw the carbs and it running rich can anyone help o ya thanks to all who helps and has helped

    o yea i forgot when first starting on choke i guess its a cold idler it idals way up to 3500 and then back to 500 then up then down is this a problem to

    Yup. I would say that is a problem. Sounds like it is time to pull the carbs and have a look at ricks guid to carb cleaning. It is is the forums link. Clean your own carbs the whole nine yards is the name of the link. It is under the xj faq suggestion. Good luck to you. And welcome
