The Burgman scooters are good bike. I had a 650 and it would eat most cruisers for lunch. Here is an excellent forum for the Burgman scooters.

You want the good news or the bad news?

OK, bad news first: The valves need to be adjusted periodically, and I believe even more frequently than an airhead XJ.

The good news: It has screw-type valve adjusters; no shims.

I was poking in the fiche. Interesting design, a watercooled SOHC single with a four-valve head. Cylinder mounted horizontally, facing forward; belt final drive from what I can tell.

    Neat piece.

    I have a 2013 Kymco Super 8 150
    and I love it
    it weighs about 370
    goes about 60
is great on hills, how I did not get speeding tickets I don't
    know
it is fun and easy to drive
also the helmet hooks up front are great for grocery bags
    it gets about 75mph
I paid 2500 new.. and it came with a 2 yr warranty
    not shabby

I am keeping it, and upgrading to the 82 xj

My dad was looking at burgman's (burgmen? lol_) a few years ago, they're lovely for a twist n rip but they were a bit out of his budget. He ended up with a brand new Gilera Runner 125, one of the last of the stinkwheels & it was actually great.

Smooth ride, decent acceleration (with the CVT pulleys weighted right they're always in the peak powerband) a lot faster than you'd expect for a 125, pulled 70-75 easily enough two up when we commuted on it & from a pillion's point of view felt like a lot bigger than 1/8th litre :) Must have been OK to ride solo too because for a while he used to go out for weekend rides on it & was even considering a return to bikes...
