    No idea if you can swap them with another bike but I believe Yoshimura made race cams for the Xjs back in the day but good luck finding a set now.

    Send them off for a re-grind, supply your own #'s, supposed to cost $400

    You'd be building a custom "race" motor and would match or improve the intake, exhaust, and compression, and be experimenting beyond the usual advise of this site.

    I have a cb750 and I dropped in cams from a cb900, with noticeable HP gains, and zero modifications. They've been doing this swap for years on the DOHC Hondas, I'd be interested to see if the 750-900 swap would work on an XJ.

    No this will not work. The 900 came out with a 4 point cam support in the head. The 900 cams will not fit into the 750 heads.
