engine cleanup

    what r some/best products to use to clean and polish the engine and crankcase? i hear of simple green and citrus acid. are they safe to use on aluminum and chrome? any ideas how to remove small amounts of rust? Lets hear your recommendations. Thanks, Bill

    I like Simple Green and warm water. Just mist the Simple Green on the engine and use a scrub brush to loosen up all of the heavy stuff. Repeat a few times and rinse with warm water. Then when it looks good and clean ill use cold water from the garden hose to finish.
    As far as polishing the engine cases see Mad Boehiem < spelling? He has polishing down to a science.
