I Purchased this 82 Maxim 650 in March and have been doing a little here and there with a friend. Rear fender and tail light plate frame combo coming soon. Bar end mirrors are on their way. I wanted to post sooner but could not find a good photo converter. Here are a few.

    Re: Yamabob-82 Maxim Bobber Project

I just cut them back. I kept the H pipe underneath though. It's loud and i may need baffles to pass inspection. Haha. I have some videos up on you tube under the name benny bobber if you want to hear it. I didn't have to re jet or anything as of now. I don't think the pods are worth the trouble, and decided to keep the air box for now. Thanks for the Words.

Thanks. I was going to go with drag bars but liked this style more. The m.c. was not an issue and the clutch and brakes have been working perfectly.Once i get the new grips and bar end mirrors on it should look about right.

Those bars are sick. I've been considering those but they are a little tall for the look im going for. 3" instead of 5 would be perfectt but no one seems to make them, with that curved design.. Any ideas?

These bikes need a fork brace and you need something to keep yourself from slipping off the rear of the seat onto the tire while moving unless you don't need anymore kids.
    Looks good though.
