How does your leg sit compaired to the start button? Looks like you could hit it pretty easy. You can do pods if you want to work through it. People seem to be having good luck with velocity stacks and I know at least one person is playing around with the mod suggested by Rick. I wouldn't mind pods on my seca but I will wait for a few more people to test run them for a while.

i was worried about my leg too but it acctually sits right behind my knee and to the back and when I lean into my tank my knee hugs forward so it gets father away from any of my surface area...but it should be fine...

I don't like the sounds of that...what do your plugs look like?

You should take a whiff of the oil filler cap and see if it smells of fuel.

I just found out that my battery isnt recharging and probably isnt giving the bike enough JUICE to start her over....heard that the starters on these bikes are really power hungry and unless you have 12.5 all day then the starter will rob the bike of spark and wont fire up.....

So can anyone tell me about the charging system and the first place I should start trouble shooting??? My batter is a brand new 14L-A2 with fresh acid and a fressh charge... she ran great for about 2 days then on the 3rd day I get up to go start her and I hear the battery is getting low, then she finally wont crank cause of it...

So I pulled the battery and checked the acid levels, they look fine...right above the lower mark....SO Im going to take it to autozone or something and have it load tested and charged again....hopefully I didnt buy a bum battery...

Thanks for any suggestions...still trying to figure out a solution for a cheap air intake box or something...I cant afford the 60 bucks right now for a new box...but we will see...and I dont wanna run her open carbed I figured that would really mess things up after a while....

ok well I trickel charged my battery all nite and when I put her in the bike she fired RIGHT UP with no problems...so Im guessing either I have a problem with my battery or the charging system itself...

Guess Im going to pull the battery and take it in to a tester place and have the battery load tested...and checked out...(its was bought at walmart so)...

Have you got a meter to check what the generator is putting out, should be about 14v at 2k + revs.

If there is gas in the crankcase then one or more float needles are not seating fully and/or the petcock is leaking. I'd check the oil level first. If it's higher than normal then I'd check the petcock. Pull the fuel line and look for gas coming out of the petcock with the engine off, there should be none. There will be some fuel still in the line, so be sure to either pull it off at the petcock, or have a container to let the line drain into (gas costs too much to waste).

If there is just the smell of gas, but not any gas thinning your oil then it's likely that you have a blow-by issue.

If your rings aren't sealing, an excessive amount of unburnt fuel will be pushed past them and into the crankcase. If that is he case there are several things that can be done. You can run Marvel Mystery Oil in the case and the gas for a while (directions are on the bottle) in the hopes that the rigs(s) are just stuck in their grooves, you can tear the top end down and hope the bore is close enough to being in spec that you can get away with honing and putting on a new set of rings, or you'll have to have the cylinders bored oversize and get a set of pistons and rings (at which point it's not a bad idea to tear the whole engine down and inspect the bearings).

Do a compression check before you start taking anything apart, and be sure that the petcock and float needles aren't the problem first.

took back the cheap Walmart battery and got another better/newer one. Already I can tell its better off my volt meter...holding a charge better and in the GREEN better on the maintenance tricel charge meter.

Hopefully this fixes my battery woes...but if this doesnt do it...then its my alternator...

ok check it out guys, I got new pictures and new info coming up. I have a charging issue and Im having to drop it off to a mechanic and leave it for a few days....He used to work on Yamahas, and he seems like he knows what he is doing. Anyways...

More to come...Im going to get my whole charging system renewed POLISHED, and Cleaned up..plus new rotor and new stator and brushes...Id rather get them replaced and new then have to deal with them later on down the road when Im on a road trip.

OK well I took off the ATARI too...Im hooking Frankenseca up with my atari for his help with my wiring...so hopefully he can put that hideous atari to good use...cause its gone in my mind...

Going to get some nice 3" gauges from badit bikes...to mount off of the handle bars... IM excited to get the charging system nice and NEW!!!
Thats one less thing that I have to worry about...

Next is my blow by issue, the mechanic says he has a tester to see if blowby is my issue...this guy really seems to know what he is talking about... Im glad I found him...

OK people Im done rambling...Im a bit buzzed off fourloko drinks right now and CANTSTOP THINKING ABOUT RIDING MY BIKE>>>but yea im not gonna be dumb and go get a DUI....HAVE FUN BUT STAY SAFE....PEACE :!: :!:
