Apparently I got some bad gas the other day. Last evening, my bike was idling terrible on the way home. So I checked the inline fuel filter I have on it, and sure enough it was nasty!!! All kinds of sentiment in it! I changed it out, but, I still have no low end power and piss poor idle. SO, my thoughts are that the fuel itself must be bad as well. I plan to drain the tank tonight. Should I also drain the bowls on the carbs?
For anyone in the Terre Haute, Indiana area - DON'T get the "Plus" gas at Krogers on Wabash!!!!

Well it wouldn't hurt to drain them that's for sure. MOst likely with an inline fuel filter there isn't trash in the bowls but water. A little Seafoam will mix with the water and pull it on through. Only need about 3 oz.

Should I pull the petcock out and clean the screen since there was so much crap in the filter?
Didn't think to put some Sea Foam in - love that stuff!!!

I'd pull the tank off, drain it out, pull the petcock and rinse both it and your inline filter out, swish some clean gas around in the petcock-less tank, drain, then re-assemble and throw in the seafoam.
