    How much should I expect to pay on a complete motor rebuild on my xj650j ?

    You mean if you take it to a shop and have them do it all? You can save a ton if you do all the labor except the precise machine work, like cylinder honing. A machine shop near me told me they could hone my cylinders for $25-30 each, so $100-120 total. That would probably be the single biggest expense.

    I guess I should ask why you think you need to rebuild in the first place. What's wrong with it?
