I got this helmet that I really like. I got curious about what other people use.

I tried on 10 or so different helmets at a store and wound up with an HJC IS MAX BT modular helmet. It seemed the best and most comfortable.

I used it during BRC and was very happy. Even though it was hot and I was sweating a lot the helmet was not a problem. In fact, I think it might have even helped a bit.

When on the highway it has a fair amount of airflow. I also really like the sunshade. I wear glasses and it saves me from having to carry the sunglasses.

I use Gmax helmets. I have a 3/4 I use in the day and a modular I use at night. I have the brake light kit on the modular one. It comes on with the bikes brakes. Both breath very good plus the full also keeps you warm in the fall.

HJC CL-SP; very comfortable, quiet at speed and decent airflow in hot weather. So much lighter than my earlier full-face helmets; DoT and Snell approved.

I've been thinking of maybe putting some reflective stickers on mine, but most stickers are kinda stupid and not very reflective.

Instead of a reflective sticker, get a mirror visor! Best investment I've made so far (besides a party pack of earplugs).

I have a HJC CL-Max and a Z1R Eclipse. Both modular. I believe they both use the same shell as they are very similar and use the same visor.

And Fitz, clean the bugs off that thing. :)

Hey - that was MY idea !! Put a field goal kicker's chinbar on an open helmet.

I have an HJC CL33 open helmet with visor. Comfortable, not bad for weight, I wear ear plugs.

I bought a "half helmet" thinking I'd wear it around town, but I prefer the HJC to it anyway. The strap makes wind noise in front of the ears, it feels top-heavy and wasn't as convenient as I thought it would be.

I have a helmet for when my hair is long/when I'm wearing a balaclava and another for when my hair is short

HJC FS-15 DOT and Snell approved "Terror" (Large) No complaints.

Breath guard impresses be because it prevents the visor from fogging.

HJC C1 DOT approved black (Medium) Feels a little cheap but it isn't terribly uncomfortable. It was half the price of my FS-15 so you get what you pay for.

I have these in my helmets

I grabbed a Scorpion Exo-400 after walking around the local store for about an hour trying on lids. I felt that ti had the best fit for the price. Fact of the matter was I didn't want to spend $300 on a helmet at the time, nor did I have it because I also needed a jacket. It cost be about a buck and a half so I was happy. Mine is also black, just not matte.

And as far as the visibility thing goes, I picked up this jacket in neon green. I've seen a few others around here with them, and they can be seen well.

This one seems to work pretty well for me, comfortable, lots of air flow at speed, the shield is slightly tinted so it works well for day or night riding.

    HJC CL-SP for me also....
I wish it would vent better when it is really cold out - often get alot of condensation on cold mornings (low 40's) have to crack the visor and get colder yet - can't believe I am talking cold after the heat wave here . . . .

Different manufacturers helmets will fit different. We had a hell of a time with my wife and an HJC CL. No matter what we did (changing pads to change fit) it bothered her chipmunk cheeks.

Local dealer started carrying a line called Speed and Strength. Fit her like it's made for her.

I use a HJC IS-16. I really like the integral sunshade. I need to get my hands on a little bit of window tint though - I'd like it darker at the top for when the sun is low.

I'm wearing a HJC IS 33. Love it. I prefer open face, have issues with head being in a closed area, claustrophobic. But I don't get that feeling with the IS 33. really like it. And it was on sale!

    I have this:

Was not my first choice but I wanted the drop down visor and with a hat size of 8 the choices are quite limited. I like it. Seems to be well made. Visor works great. It has a bluetooth option but I didn't get that. It could be added later if I choose.

I have an Icon Alliance Harbinger and im wearing an joe rocket jacket from a few years ago. I love both and the jacket has to be made out of some tough stuff cause i have been down in it and so have some of my friends and it still looks brand new. I upgraded my visor on my helmet to a mirror tint and it fantastic i dont know how i rode before with out the tint.
