Anyone know of any being sold? It looks like it'd be a super fun ride.

My dads got two Yamaha Tt600 witch have more or less the same engine as the Srx, I think minus oil cooler and 12volt electrics and some other things. Super torquey motor not to fast on the topend but really quick getting there, its pretty much just a second generation Sr/Xt motor. They actually have a twin carb setup called YDIS (Yamaha dual intake system), it’s a slide carb for the low and mid range up to a certain speed then a CV carb kicks in that’s just got a massive main jet and no float bowl just a direct feed to the jet. They can be a real mother to set up just as much as the Xj’s can be but even more of a mother to start if it’s a kick-start only model. Therese an automatic decompression cable hooked up to one of the exhaust valves to aid starting; you have to slowly move the kick-start with your leg, your are searching for a “click” usually comes about quarter of the way down the kick this “click” this is the cable dropping the exhaust valve thus decompressing the cylinder. Once you have found the “click” go no further return the kick-start arm to the top then give it one mighty kick, people complain about these high compression singles (especially the Srx/Tt/Xt) kicking back when trying to start them and are so hard to kick personally the bike has NEVER kicked back at me the only time it should is if you open the throttle when kicking. Sometimes it may be necessary to apply a tiny amount of throttle when starting but wouldn’t advise it until you have a good feel for starting it. Im 15 years of age and weigh about 10stone and can usually get the TT to fire first or second kick it’s the first ever kick start bike I have had, my farther is around 6foot tall and weighs about 4stone more than me and it takes him forever to get it started its all about getting the knack with the depression some people have got it others don’t. Hope that made sense just giving my 2cent on how to start them as many people have great difficulty getting them going, if you end up buying a electric start model just ignore every thing I said (if it made sense). ;)
Anything you want to know about the motors PM me and I hope you find a sweet one for yourself.
    Take it easy
