82 bobber project!

    hey guys new to the forum! picked up a 650 maxim for a project bike planning to make a bobber out of it so stayed tuned :)

    heres how she started:

    What are you doing with the parts you don't need any more? There are a couple of small things I'm looking for like side covers and grab handle.

    haha iphone picture makes it look better than it is.
    update: everything is apart mostly. cones, highbars, forwards controls and jet kit on the way! in the mean time ive been touching up bits and parts polishing and painting, cut the frame... but the place im staying cant handle a 240v welding machine so until tires go back on cant weld her back up

    busy weekend, lots of parts came in! foward controls are on, high bars installed, with the wires routed inside. cone filters...

    rebel shocks in, aswell as new tires. cant figure out the exhaust as of yet. dont want them super loud nor quiet either. i want them to be stubby aswell.

    its been awhile! working lots but i managed to hook up the new cluster and fitted the rear fender. did alittle electrical work too

    shes alive!! besides alittle mess up with motion pro cables, the custom throttle cable was shorter than stock...and i ordered it to be longer...anyways the stock cable barely makes it so im using it for now. it was awesome riding it down the street haha, working on a seat, turn signals and brakes

    Dude sick digital have setup. I've always hated my stockies and would love a digital one, how much and where crome and also what did u have to do to get it to work perfectly?

    digital setup was 200bucks off ebay vapor gauges, works dope easy setup too. as far as the cones havent rode it past second gear yet so i couldnt tell you. cops here arent very friendly when it comes to bikes, especially ones without signals or brakes lol

    What is the Gage called on ebay and what are vapor gages? Or is that the name lol

    good lookin bike man. I like the painted jugs. How does the exhaust sound? I take it you just used a regular automotive exhaust tips possibly 3".
