New guy in Oregon

    I signed up in April,I've been reading a lot and fixing up a 1980 XJ650 Maxim. This is a good group and got me through carbs,brakes,clutch and a whole raft of issues. Thanks all for the help. The XJ should be rolling again soon. I posted a want for a gas tank,getting that,I will be rolling.

    I have an extra tank for my 550 Maxim if yours is a 550 you can have it so long as you pay for the shipping costs

    Any Maxim tank will fit. The 550 and 650 tanks are probably the same volume.

    Not so. The 550 tank is smaller/physically shorter than a 650 tank. The rear mount won't line up swapping 550/650.
