i have a 81 xj650 maxim. im looking for more of an enduro type tire setup. unfortunately they make only 1 tire for a 16 inch rear wheel. theres a couple seca rear wheels on ebay. are the seca/maxim rear wheels interchangeable? will the seca bolt up to the final drive? theres also a rear wheel off of a seca 750. will that bolt right up as well? if so i think im going to make the move. they make alot more tires for an 8 inch rim.

The seca wheel will interchange with the maxim wheel. You just have to make sure to use the correct brake blate for the wheel. The 750's used a larger brake plate than the 650's

as ghost said, yes - it will fit. people will actully swap out the seca 18" wheel to lower rpm at highway speeds.

and your sig - "xjs are addicting....its a proven fact."

    love it.

Think it would look good with an 120/80-18 enduro/adventure tire on the back and a 110/80-19 enduro/adventure on the front?

If you had a few hundred $$ to throw around, you could custom lace-up any size you want onto Virago spoke hubs.
