Patience is what is needed when one works on any machine that is this old. Face it guys you cant just get the parts you need from the Yamma Robber you have to order them (Chacal's the man for this read his catalog). What a lot of folks do not understand when they buy one of these bikes is it is old no matter how many miles the odometer says it has on it. It is an old bike that needs attention rubber dries and cracks ( carbs) old fuel has accumulated and left deposits in the carbs brake lines have rusted internally brake linings have delaminated from the metal shoes valve stem seals have cracked and fallen off . Do not think you can buy any old bike fire it up and take it for a spin

i bought that book over 5 years ago, lost it, and got my first bike over last winter. I remembered a lot of stuff in that book while i was going through the bike, ripping it down, and putting it all back together. def a good read, whether you work on bikes or not.
