    Hi can anyone tell me the plug lead order and which one gos to which plug ? On my xj900f

    One coil does 1 and 4, the other 2 and 3, sometimes the lead length gives a clue.

    Doesn't matter,both leads fire simultaneously . Also,the coils fire twice per crank cycle (wasted spark). But only one spark has fuel to ignite, hence the term.
    You have a 50/50 % chance of getting it right,or wrong. It's pretty simple
    1 & 4, 2 & 3.
    Like Wizard wrote,check the lead length. I can't imagine that all four leads are the same. On coil has shorter leads than the other.

    1 and 4 are interchangeable as are 2 and 3.

    I was a little slow on the draw that time lol

    Hi thanks for that I also think the camchain tensioner is sticking can I just remove it if so can. You tell me how :)

    No you can not "just remove it" the engine has to be in the correct position or you risk messing up the cam chain timing. There is a detailed procedure in the service manual, I suggest you get one if you do not have one already.

    Please explain why you think it needs to be removed because it is sticking.

    Valve adjustment is critical , have you checked them?

    Hi. The bike has been standing for about 9 yearS the top end sounds a bit noisy and I was told they do this some times
