I was trying to suction cup a GPS on the windshield and the kickstand gave out or plunged forward and my XJ750 Maxim fell on me on it's left side. It sat for 30 min until I could get a neighbor to help me get it upright. Now won't crank. Lights come on - systems check LCD fies up but everything stays "on" - it doesn't clear. DO I just need it to sit upright for a while?

Also snapped off the left mirror, in case anyone is parting out one and has one available.

    Thanks

sounds like the kickstand switch is broken or jammed in the "down" position, or perhaps the master on/off switch on the throttle side was accidently put in the off position while picking up the bike. It's happened to me.

Glad you got things sorted out. Why did you need help to upright your bike? One guy should be able to do this. Can anybody offer mrpackerguy some tips? (no pun intended.)

Glad you got it going again, no dice on the mirror though.

And small world, I was actually going to ride down to Madison today until some not so nice weather rolled into town.

    Game day tomorrow, Go Pack!!

You'll kick me for saying this but I actually got two sets of mirrors from a xj550. But I'm halfway across the globe so shipping cost might not make it worth it.
