I was wondering if you were still around. :)

9/11 ride is coming up if your new bike is in riding condition.

    Very nice :)

Just picked up a Vegas xts half helmet. Very happy with my purchase. Its low profile for a dot approved helmet and doesn't move around at all. Id highly recommend it for anyone looking.

Bike is looking great. I am not a fan of the spring seat on a bike that has shocks though. Just seems like too many springs. Just my opinion. I like the bars on your bike, and usually don't like Apes. I went with the keystones a few moths back and am digging them. Later.

Oh, and what rear fender is that one guy asking about? You said a tractor supply fender but i dont see the bike with a fender. Just the old pics. Thanks Strat.

running the seat without springs (even with the rear shocks at their stiffest preload) the tire and seat would make contact on bigger bumps.

as for the rear fender, he was referring to the older pic I had of the tractor supply fender on the rear.

I'll have to snap a pic of the bike in its latest form with the tractor supply fender set on there.

in the meantime, some pics from the local 9/11 memorial ride.

That definitely looks like a set of forward controls from TC Bros.

    Here: http://www.tcbroschoppers.com/forward-c ... l-kit.html

    * I'm not sure if these would bolt on to the XJ700 or not.. they also sell a "universal kit" and a linkage kit seperately. I haven't ever heard anything bad about them.

On page 7, he says they are for a 650 but used different hardware.

spot on... they are TC Bros XJ650 controls. you just have to space them out to clear the header pipes.

had the bike out today for the 2013 Motorcycle Miracle Tour.

Take your front fender off, too.

Go to my gallery and check out my red 700 so you can see what that would look like.

I am wanting a seat like the stock one in the earlier pics. Has anyone tried mounting an 85 stock front seat on an 83 XJ750?

    Cool bike

I've had the front fender off before... actually for last year's miracle tour.

bike looked great but it sucked on the 40 mile ride home in the rain. until i figure out a way to keep the water spray down without the front fender, it'll be staying. :)

mirrors came from amazon. got inspiration from one of tc bros bikes.
