Bike is an '82 XJ750 Seca. I'm trying to replace the seal in the left-side cover that goes around the shifter shaft. Got the cover off, and got the new seal from BikeBandit, but I can't figure how to get the old one out. I thought it would just pop out, but no. Seems like there's some kind of metal retainer in there or something.

    Anyone done this before?

Nevermind, got it. The old seal was built a lot differently than the replacement. It had a metal core, and apparently pressed in a lot harder than the new one. Now I'm hoping the new one actually seals....
