I rode today and the front shock seemed soft. So i went to pressurize them(to 10psi) and Slow leak, bubbling sound. I have figured the problem to an o ring. I just cant figure out how to get to the oring. It should be oring 11 on this diagram for the 650.

Got it to stop leaking we will see how long it holds. Still didn't figure out how to get to the o ring.

Started to leak again. Anyone have ideas of how to get to the very top oring in the adjustment portion of the front left shock?

Do you have 650 forks on your bike? if you don't why the pic of the 650 fork? the two are very different.

LV is spot on here. The 82 XJ750 forks are different in the air assist. First things first, post up a pic of the top of your forks. You may have 83' forks which have the air valves in each tube instead of an equalizing valve as the 82' has.

If it has the 83' forks with a valve in each tube, spray some soapy water on the valve to help narrow it down, it may be just the valve core...

In any event, if it does have the 82' forks and valves, then the best way to repair is to remove the top tree and replace all of the 30 year old dry rubber seals.

It is an 1982 with 82 forks. Bad pic on my part. the leak is in the top cap with the adjustment. I need to figure out how to get to the oring in the top cap assembly.
