I'm just curious to see what i can get for my bike because i may want to sell it. It's a 1985 yamaha fj600 with aprox. 8,500 miles on it. I just got done doing a complete disassembly, cleaning, and rebuilding of the carbs (including new seals, fuel rail, gaskets, ect.). I also just got brand mew bridgestone battalx tires put on it as well as a fresh inspection. It has a vance and hines exhaust as well as a vance and hines performance clutch. I also put a new battery in it at the beginning of the summer which is still under warranty.

    Throw me an offer.

Where are you? And if you don't mind me asking why do you want to sell? You can PM me with the answer to the second question.

It looks like a nice, clean, and from the sound of things well cared for FJ.

If I was closer to you and the bike checks out I would be willing to offer at least $1200-maybe more depending on the 'in-person' assessment of the bike.

Be aware that you will not get the best price possible, since it is not original and does not look original either:

tank is not the right color combination
side covers are not the right color combination
chin is not the right color combination
exhaust is not the original style

But other than those things, it does look pretty good from the pic. If it is as clean, and runs as good as it looks, you should still get a decent sale from it.

I had one for a short time, and sold it to another collector friend. They are a nice little bike...a little chain-drive cousin to the xj900rk. :)

unfortunately that's the way i bought it, i do like how it looked original but the original owner thought otherwise i guess. i think i'm going to keep her i was just wondering what she was worth.

Then why didn't you just ask what its worth, instead of telling us you think you might want to sell it?

Because he needs a car to get to work and school!

He REALLY doesn't want to sell it, but it's starting to get cold here :)

    We're working through the problem

Someone have the winning lottery numbers for this week?
