    Hello im Ryan im new to this site and to rebuilding bikes, i bought a 1982 xj750 maxim, i been working on it for a little now im at a starter problem bench tested mine it is dead with a broken magnet inside also, i found a 82 xj750 seca starter will this work on mine at all?

    Reckon so mate. Same part numbers 4BB8189000, so straight swap.

    THANKS MAN THAT A BIG HELP AND SWEAT OF MY SHOULDERS IM GOING TO POST PICS OF THEY BIKE SO I CAN GET IDEAS WHERE TO GO ON THIS THING. SOME SAY BOB IT, SOME SAY GO CAFE IM IN THE MIDDLE BUT I DO LOVE OLD STYLE CAFES.

    ALSO I THINK MY STARTER CLUTCH HAS TO BE REPLACE I GET SOME GRINDING NOISE WHEN IT TRIES TO START NOT SURE THOUGH IF IT WASNT JUST MY STARTER SINCE IT DIED, BUT CANA THE SECA FIT THE MAXIM IN THE SAME SENSE
