I don't like to share Max with Mr. Speedy. He's only got a 3km ride to work and I have a 53 km ride to work. I take her in as often as I can, even those 0 degreee celcius mornings. He's got a stripped down to bare bones 81 gl1100 that isn't running right now. Should I be a nice wife and leave her at home sometimes so he can ride her, he gets home before I do.

    Edited to fix punctuation.

If you let him ride yours, his will sit longer unfixed. So the answer is: Hell NO.

Agree with Orange-n-Black. He should man-up and figure out his own ride, not take yours. And don't feel bad.

    Is chivalry dead, people??!!

Oh, is he on here? Don't tell him I said man-up.

Bwahahah. No, he's not on here. He does work on mine too though. So maybe sometimes it's ok to let him ride?

Yesterday the little window on front brake master cylinder disentegrated, pissed out brake fluid.. Glad it happened in the driveway. Whats up with that anyway? He fixed it from parts bike. I let him take it out to test it and fuel up. That was ok?

    Hahahaha........

Rookie, can't you get ice racing tires for your bike? Doesn't count? Rough ride.

The winter tire law really isn't such a bad thing. Lots of folks at the office don't like it, but snow tires make such a difference driving in the snow.

I have seen bikes riding all year in Vermont. Studded snow tires. Stickers saying "one less car on the road".

    speedqueen,

About what ^ said. for better or worse...yep, yep...all that. my wife doesn't ride so i don't have that issue. but if she did i'd be more inclined to find her a nice little 250 for HER. as for my 17yr old son who just got his license up-graded to driving solo and wants a ninja 250 and might think old dad is going to let him ride the wheels off my truck because i have my bike. ain't gonna happen. we gave him a '94 sonoma with 125k on it i drove for 11yrs with no major problems. it's been sitting in the yard since 2008. new battery, changed fluids...it started right up. of course it needs more work, i told him i'm not doing the work but that we would do it together. he starts driving his moms car. lol. soooooo, here dad goes...gotta' get it titled and running for him. teenagers....i remember.lol

For better or for worse. Yup. I'm not an ogre. He can ride. I get first pick though and take the passenger seat when we both go out. A 250? Nawwwwww.....not enough power. I do too much highyway riding for that. My son will be 16 in May and he's dying to get on Max .

Was just saying until he gets his back going it would not hurt to let him ride yours like one day a week or so. But he needs to get started on fixing his pronto if you know what I mean.

My daughter is 26 and I told her when I got the 454 sorted out and running right I would let her ride it some when her hubby and I go riding. She has never rode a street bike but that should not be much of a problem since she is very familiar with all the controls as they are the same as her atv warrior was. She rode a dirt bike some when she was a kid and the 454 is a nice size at around 400 pounds and a low seat height. I recently got another igniter for it and now it runs like a champ so I guess some riding lessons are in store for her.
