Who wants to host one? Anybody?

I have the space but not all the tools and knowledge.

(Yes I have an alterier motive as I need to Colortune my bike now that I'm riding it regularly. 65mph+5th gear = 4500rpms. 4500rpms+pods=lean/bad)

    Anybody interested?

I think we can drum up tools, (minus special tools like carb sticks and colortune plugs), if people are willing to travel to McHenry, IL - I should even be able to char something on the grill. That just leaves people and knowledge.

If our housemate is there then we might have the use of his large tool compliment from when he was a mechanic but there is a problem...he rides a Harley... ;-)

Actually he's pretty cool regardless so he'd probably be happy to help as long as it doesn't interfere with his ride time.

I have a Colortune and a YICS (and a jerry-rigged manomometer made of tubing, a wire hanger, some water and food coloring). Vaguely know how to use 'em. Don't really have a space. Someone (paging CaptainKirk) has mentioned SOMETHING about maybe having a shop? ;)

McHenry would be doable for me - date-dependent of course. Even if I couldn't make the date, I'd happily lend the tools.

Just make sure safety is your #1 priority. Crowd those dripping fuel bowls as closely as possible to the grill!

Well, my "shop" takes up 1/2 of my 2-1/2 car garage......and there are 4-1/2 motorcycles in there now, with the Nighthawk on the lift. :(
We'll see if I can clear some space later this summer?

Ahhh, understood (or misunderstood, I guess). BTW, I didn't mean to volunteer you, just wanted to make sure you were in on the conversation :D

June Saturdays are pretty much shot for me, a Sunday here or there might work.

The first half of July is open.

But as I said, even if I can't make it, my YICS and Colortune can be there. I've also got the Haynes manual and XJCD I can offer up as well. And if someone wants to go whole hog and do a valve adjustment, I've got the little valve-holder tool too (and a few shims).
