I hate to be the one to tell you this, but with all of your "mods" you can now expect to get a whole lot less for it. As soon as you sawed into the frame, you cut $1000 off its resale value. It may be worth more to you; but not necessarily to anybody who doesn't share your "vision" of the finished project. I suspect the un-upholstered skateboard seat may be a bit of a show-stopper, potential buyer-wise.

Valves in spec? Compression test results?

What did you do to re-tune for the pods and pipe?

If you really want to sell it, drop a $Grand off the price. And wait until spring.

    Just being honest. Sorry.

If anyone doesn't share my "vision" they don't have to buy the bike. anyone looking for this bike will know that they might have to raise a wrench to it. they can hard-tail it and ad a tractor seat for all i care. the seat is upholstered with a high density foam and is fine to sit on. maybe not for any plus sized men, but once again they don't have to buy the bike

Theres no way id drop a grand off or take anything near 700$ for it. thats a joke. i have much more money into parts than that.

It may be surprising, but people actually like this bike, i've gotten comments wherever i take it, old harley guys, sport bikers, non bikers they all love it. so i suggest you try to go burst someone's bubble elsewhere, because I currently have 2 more potential buyers emailing me right now.

You may just think i'm a dumb kid that ruined this bike, but i actually know what i'm doing.

The ad says "un upholstered for now" - you told Fitz it was upholstered, so which is it?

I love the shot of the discolored header pipes, tells me it's running lean because of the pods and 4-1.

"little white led light up valve caps, look sweet at night" - until you see the flashing red and blue lights in the mirror, those light up valve caps are illegal for road use in this state.

    No horn, also illegal.

No fender - not illegal, but not fun in the rain either.

No rear signals - again, not illegal, but big PITA to use hand signals all the time.

"price drop" - all those offers but you had to drop the price?

It's not a 2001 R6, it's a 30 year old bike. The only way you're going to get more than a grand out of it is to find a complete moron, good luck on the search.

no need to be an ass. its upholstered. i did it a week after the post big deal.

the pipes came to me discolored.

i could care less about the valve caps. me and my friends all have them, there cool and don't cause any problems, been out several times. if i ever get pulled over they'll come off

    i have a horn? i never said i didn't have one

i priced it based on opinions from friends, my time and money. and the current craigslist market. its a fair price. i dropped it from 1800 to 1700.

i know its not an r6, there are plenty of bikes on craigs that are 25+ and over 1000

oh and thanks for linking my first post, people can see now how hard ive worked on it.

    cheers
